A Folder is a location that stores multiple files and other folders found on Apple Macintosh computers, computers running Microsoft Windows , and other GUI operating systems. You can store files, documents, multi media files (audio, video files). The " Favorites" folder was first introduced in Windows 7 and it is also there in Windows 8 . By default, there are only three folders available under Favorites in  Windows Explorer which are    Desktop , Downloads and Recent Places. You can add your favourite folders to this list.
