If you are a Gmail user, you have now seen Tabs in your Gmail. By default these tabs are: "1) Primary 2) Social & 3) Promotional". Some people would have liked this change as they might not be seeing promotional stuff directly in their Primary Inbox. Few might have hated it because now they cant see the stuff coming from Facebook in their primary inbox. Gmail's new tabs is an exceptional feature so far. You only need to know how to use it.
Do you know? You can configure these tabs. You can actually decide what tabs will be there in your Gmail out of available options. So let me directly take you to configure Gmail Tabs.
Step 1] After login, click on Settings (The Gear Button near right top), see the picture for reference and click on "Configure Inbox".
Step 2] After clicking "Configure inbox", you will see options to be displayed in the tabs of your Gmail Inbox. You can simply select or deselect tabs that will appear in your inbox.
Depending upon some criteria Google classifies your emails in different tabs. For an example your Facebook, G+ notifications will land in Social Tab. While Mailers, specially run by Online Marketing Softwares go under Promotional. Direct emails and other that do not go under any category land in Primary. If you want any email in another tab, you can also do that.
Click on the email you want to move, and drag it to the tab you want.
You will be prompted about the Move, you can also make further conversations from the same email into the new tab where you have moved it.
Just click on Yes to make further conversations be seen in this tab.
