Windows 8 Developers Edition was a hit, and on 29th Feb,2012 Windows launched Windows 8 Consumer Preview with more than 1000 changes. Windows application store is up and running with a handful of free Metro apps available to play around with. A lot of improvements have been made to memory usage, boot process, power management and hardware supports. 

If you want to give a try, download your copy of Windows 8 Consumer Preview from the following:

As this build of Windows 8 is still in beta stage and as such may contain bugs that can cause stability problem when running some applications. This release is intended to be used for testing purpose only and will be expired on January 16, 2013. The final commercial version of Windows 8 is expected to be released by the end of 2012.

  • 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  • 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
  • Taking advantage of touch input requires a screen that supports multi-touch
  • 1024 x 768 screen resolution, and 1366 x 768 for snap feature.

  So many times we accidently delete some important files, pictures or videos. Sometimes we loose files because of unexpected system failure  ( ultimately causing system format). We can get our deleted files back using Recovery Softwares/Utilities.  Even though a file was deleted there is a good chance that contents of the file are still around.  When a file is deleted the contents of the file are not removed.
