Microsoft Office will be available for iOS and Android

Microsoft Office for iOS and Android: Recently we got this news that Microsoft will be launching Office for iOS and Android. It will be launched by the time Microsoft will launch Windows  8 and new version of Office , in November this year. Microsoft Office is a product of Microsoft that truely has no competition. We all love it. The version coming for iOS and Android will have complete Office, it will include Word, Power Point and Excell. It is not yet confirmed that it will be available for all iOS devices or only for iPad. (I think it will for all devices including iPhone, iPad and iPod). Many people think it's very late for Microsoft to take this action. Even I agree with that, but atleast they have taken this step now! Windows 8 is completely on stake, as every big manufacturer is in doubt with it's success. We hope Office on iOS and Android will get good appreciation.

What is Zurker after all? Review!!

It is another social networking site. And as they describe themselves, read this:   "One of the amazing things about Zurker is that it's owned by small investors, rather than venture capitalists. And that's not all. Those small investors are also members here. New members can easily earn a stake of ownership in Zurker, in the form of a vShare , by inviting their friends." Let's have a look what we found after some research. Founder of Zurker?   Nick Oba : A failed enterepreneur who started a magazine website and had to close it afterall.   User Interface: It is average. Considering their competition with Google+ and Facebook , the UI fails at providing anything new. I am amazed of people saying it a replacement of Facebook and Google+. The UI is not even user-friendly. When you are using Facebook you know what you are doing (even if you are doing nothing lolz:-) ) Referral system: The network is emphasising on having v...

Facebook IPO falls short of Expectations

I had posted about Facebook IPO as I had expected a lot from it. But it din't go the way Facebook and Facebook lovers expected it to go. Here is the complete story that Yahoo shared:    SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - The historic initial public offering of Facebook Inc did not go as planned on Friday, as the social networking company's sky-high valuation combined with trading glitches left the stock languishing near its offering price at the market close. Facebook shares, which opened up 11 percent, closed at $38.23 after a nail-biting last half hour of trading when the shares dipped to their $38 IPO price. Most investors had predicted a first-day pop. More than 576 million shares changed hands, setting a trading volume record for U.S. market debuts. The company had priced its IPO at the top end of its target range and increased the size of the offering, becoming the first U.S. company to go public with a v...

Does your PC have an Anti-Virus software?

I am pretty sure about this fact, that if I will ask this question; most of the people would say, "NO, We don't have an antivirus! Do we really need it?". And my friends from India and other asian countries, I can't even expect people to have genuine copies of their operating systems. This is a shame on us. You are purchasing the hardwares but not the softwares! You are using carcked or pirated versions. If you think this is not a crime, just sit and think again, if you would have not purchased your PC or Lap Top but have jumped inside the store took the PC or the Laptop and just have ran away. Will this be a crime? Of course the reply would be positive this time. Your machines (Hardwares) need quality softwares to make full utilization of your system. Always make sure that you purchase a genuine copy of Operating System. And if you are not using an antivirus, your computer may get down, it may get crashed, it may stop working or it may start producing unexp...

Facebook IPO Today!!!

Finally the day has come!!!! Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is set to make at least $846 million as the company goes public. Facebook had announced that it will sell 337.4 million shares at a price range of $28 to $35 in its initial public offering. According to the company’s filings with the SEC, Zuckerberg will be selling 30.2 million of his own shares.  On the low end of the price range, that would make him $846 million richer. On the high end, he would net $1.05 billion. According to the filing, most of that money will go to paying Zuckerberg’s taxes. Which, considering the 60 million shares the CEO will acquire through an outstanding stock option, are about to increase significantly. Facebook’s valuation of $88 billion or more would make it the most valuable U.S. company today (after IPO) The record is currently held by Google, which was valued at $23 billion when it went public in 2004.

View command history and quickly repeat DOS commands

While at the MS-DOS prompt or in the Windows command line you can quickly repeat any previously entered command and view a history of commands by using the arrow keys. For example, if you previously used the cls command to clear the screen press the up arrow key to repeat that command. Continuing to press the up arrow will scroll though a listing of commands that have been previously entered.  This is a fantastic tip for users who are entering long commands, file names, or directory names. If you happen to mistype a command, pressing the up arrow and then using the left arrow to move to and correct the error can save you a lot of time.

How to view Windows command line history

What is Desktop.ini File in Windows? How to get rid of it?

So many Windows users see this file in every folder they create. And yes, few of them think it a virus, few just consider an annoying file. So what is it actually??? What is this desktop.ini file ??? What is desktop.ini ?    This file is placed inside every folder created on your PC. Desktop.ini defines how the folder will be viewed, whether this folder is having a custom icon or will be viewed in what format etc.  Why does it appear so often? It is basically set as hidden file, whenever you change the view option to view hidden files as well, you can see it in any folder. So don't worry it's not a Virus. You don't have to delete them. You can simply change your settings to hide hidden files. If you will delete it, Windows will again try to create it. Better leave it, it does not harm anything. When you delete it you will only loose the customizations that might have been done on that folder.
